Federal Court Finds SBA’s 8(a) Program Unconstitutional

Centre Law & Consulting partner Alan Chvotkin discussed two key Supreme Court decisions relating to the False Claims Act, in an interview with Tom Temin on FederalNewsNetwork. Chvotkin first discussed the Court’s new standard of “subjective understanding or belief” for determining when a defendant has “knowing” submitted a false claim. He also discussed a second case involving the requirements imposed on the Department of Justice when it seeks to dismiss a relator’s False Claims Act case after having chosen not to intervene in the case.
