Heather Mims is an associate attorney at Centre Law & Consulting. Her practice is primarily focused on government contracts law, employment law, and litigation. Heather has extensive experience litigating bid protests before the Government Accountability Office. She also has experience working with contractors on claims and appeals, government contract terminations, and subcontract disputes. Heather also works with government contractors to develop enforceable teaming agreements and subcontracts. Heather is a top-rated attorney selected to Rising Stars for 2019-2020 by Super Lawyers.
Prior to joining Centre, Heather clerked for the chief judge of the Arlington Circuit Court.
Heather graduated magna cum laude from the George Mason School of Law. While in law school, she was the Senior Research Editor for the Law Review, a Writing Fellow, and the Vice President of the Trial Advocacy Association’s Thacher Intramural Competition.

- Reviewed the cases, prepared summaries, drafted orders, and conducted research on upcoming criminal and civil dockets for the Honorable Chief Judge William T. Newman, Jr. in Arlington County Circuit Court.
- Reviewed case files, prepared summaries, drafted orders, briefed upcoming cases, and assisted the Honorable Deputy Presiding Magistrate Judge Beshouri in DC Superior Court.
- Served as Law Clerk for the Architect of the Capitol Office of General Council supporting attorneys in a variety of legal matters including employment and labor issues, tort claims, technology issues, environmental issues, and property acquisition issues to ensure compliance with federal statutes.
